Kmedtest ("Kmedtest," "we," "us," or "our") is a Canadian-based health checkup facilitation service that connects North American clients with accredited hospital partners in Seoul, South Korea. 1. Who We Are

Kmedtest is a medical tourism facilitation company registered under the Korea Health Industry Development Institute (KHIDI) as an official Korean medical tourism facilitator. We are based in Canada and serve clients primarily in Canada and the United States.

We do not provide medical services directly. We facilitate access to health checkup services at our partner hospitals in Seoul, South Korea, including Hanshin Medipia (primary partner), Seoul National University Hospital (specialist referrals), and Gangnam Severance Hospital (premium imaging).


2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal information:

A. Information You Provide Directly

  • Name, email address, phone number, and country of residence
  • Date of birth and gender (required for package selection and hospital registration)
  • Health history or pre-existing conditions you voluntarily share with us for coordination purposes
  • Payment information (processed securely through Shopify Payments — we do not store full card details)
  • Communications you send us via email, contact forms, or chat

B. Information Collected Automatically

  • IP address, browser type, device type, and operating system
  • Pages visited, time spent on pages, and click behaviour on our Site
  • Referring URLs and search terms used to find our Site
  • Cookie identifiers and advertising pixel data (see Section 5)

C. Information from Third Parties

  • Information passed through Meta (Facebook/Instagram) advertising platforms when you interact with our ads
  • Information from our Shopify e-commerce platform related to your order or booking

C. For Marketing and Communications

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with the following parties:

A. Hospital Partners in South Korea

We share necessary personal information (name, date of birth, gender, relevant health history) with Hanshin Medipia and other partner hospitals to register you for your appointment and facilitate your checkup. These hospitals are bound by South Korean medical privacy law (the Personal Information Protection Act, PIPA) and their own privacy policies.

B. Service Providers

  • Shopify Inc. — e-commerce platform and payment processing
  • Meta Platforms, Inc. — advertising and analytics (see Section 5)
  • Email service providers — for transactional and marketing communications
  • Cloud storage and IT providers — for secure data storage and site operations

C. Legal and Regulatory Authorities

We may disclose your information to government bodies or law enforcement if required by applicable law in Canada, the United States, or South Korea.

D. Business Transfers

If Kmedtest undergoes a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change.

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Specifically:

  • Booking and health checkup coordination records: retained for a minimum of 7 years to comply with applicable business and tax record-keeping requirements
  • Marketing communication preferences: retained until you withdraw consent or request deletion
  • Website analytics data: retained in anonymised or aggregated form for up to 26 months

When personal information is no longer required, we will delete or anonymise it in a secure manner.


10. Children's Privacy

Our services are intended for individuals 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 18. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, please contact us and we will take prompt steps to delete it.
